Two of the tours top ladies are Junko Nagoshi (J-11 F2 / Simmer) and Anne-Marie Reichmann (H-98 Naish / Naish), ranked 4th and 5th overall in waves respectively in 2006 . Junko also finished in an impressive 6th place in Freestyle, and 4th in Super-X after Anne-Marie focused purely on the waves last season. Pieter Bijl (NED-0 Fanatic / NeilPryde) is perhaps best known as a successful Slalom 42 and Formula Windsurfing racer, and finished up 10th overall for 2006. But this fun loving Dutchman has been known to enter the odd wave sailing event, and can bust out some freestyle tricks on his race equipment too! A Day In The Life Of…Tine Slabe
Tine Slabe is a big guy and a big character from a small country called Slovenia, close to the Italian border in the Adriatic Sea’s Gulf of Venice. At 90 kg and 1.96m tall Tine is larger than most modern freestylers, although he’s also turned his hand to Slalom and waves in 2006, showing an impressive 5th place at the Red Bull Stormrider in Israel.
