Kai Katchadourian (US-33 Quatro / Simmer) is one of Ho’okipa favorite sons, and a long time PWA competitor since making his debut back in 1991. ‘Flykatcher’, known for his massive backloop’s and furious attack on the lip, is also a big hitter on the music scene, playing with rock band Anaesthesia, who’ve opened gigs for acts like the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Metallica. A phenomenal achievement was also marked when he won ‘The Battle of the Hands’ drumming contest in 2003, with an astounding 90>>

Benoit Moussilmani (F-72 F2 / Simmer) is one of three talented French brothers from the South France who all ply their trade on the PWA word tour. As an all rounder, Benoit competes in Waves, Super-X, and Slalom 42. Injuries forced Benoit’s rankings down in 2006, but he’s certain to be vying for position against his twin Sylvain (F-73 F2 /Simmer), and older brother Cyril (F-71 Fanatic / North) throughout 2007! Venezuela’s Diony Guadagnino (V-69 Mistral / NeilPryde) is one of the original and most established Isla Margarita Freestyle crew. Since originally breaking through as a fresh-faced young gun Diony, 24, is a radical sailor, colourful character, and nowadays an experienced and hugely respected name feared by all, on not only the freestyle scene, but on the wave ladder too. Head to Head – Alonso Vs. Alba
Two of Spain’s finest female competitors are Silvia Alba (E-67), and Nayra Alonso (E-4 Fanatic / Severne). At 25 and 26 years old respectively the duo have fought some epic battles on the water, especially at their homeland events such as Pozo and Sotavento. Close encounters are guaranteed with these two, both during heats and on the leader board. Nayra stood in 6th place overall in the waves in 2006, just above Silvia in 7th place, whilst Silvia kept the upper hand in the Freestyle rankings f>>
